The Hillsdale College men's tennis team added two key players to its squad heading into the fall as the Chargers hope to push their way up the G-MAC standings in 2026-27.

Freshmen Jack Ford and Zeteny Paragi will be joining the squad this fall, adding to seven returning players to give Hillsdale a strong lineup for the season to come.

Ford comes from the United Kingdom and Eastbourne, on Britain's southern coast across the English Channel from France. A graduate of Bede's Senior School, Ford was an accomplished amateur player in Britain, helping his high school reach the British National Scholastic Championships in four out of five years while playing at No. 1 singles every campaign. Ford also won the Sussex County Championship in 2025 and is ranked in the top 70 among U18 men's tennis players in the United Kingdom, a country known for producing strong tennis players.

He's also accomplished academically, passing his A levels in England with flying colors while also performing at a stellar level on the GCSEs.

Paragi, meanwhile, is a decorated player from Tárnok, a suburb of Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. A veteran player in both singles and doubles, Paragi has had significant success in team tennis, winning a championship in both the Adult National Teams First League and Hungary's U18 Teams Tournament, along with another top three finish in the U18 tournament a year later. He's also gotten to play several matches in Association of Tennis Professionals events, earning two ATP points in doubles play in the Fall of 2025 that allowed him to make the Tour rankings in doubles. He spent time at Rollins University in Florida last spring but maintained his redshirt year and will have his full four years of eligibility entering this fall.

The native of Hungary also had great success academically, earning honors in several subjects in high school, making the President's List at Rollins, and placing in the top 2% in the Luca Pacioli National Economics and Finance competition in Hungary. He also conducted research in Game Theory with Professor Miklós Pintér at Budapest Corvinus University, analyzing tennis serves as a zero-sum game.

The addition of Ford and Paragi should help bolster the Chargers heading into a promising campaign this fall. The Chargers will first take the court on Sept. 12 and 13 as Hillsdale hosts its annual Summer Invitational over two days.
