The Charger men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to first-place Northwood University Sunday afternoon in Midland.

The lone winners on the day were the combination of Gianpiero Placidi and John Ciraci, who pulled out a 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles.

Placidi hung tough in his match at No. 3 singles, losing a pair of tight sets by scores of 7-6 and 7-5.

UP NEXT: Hillsdale will host Walsh University at 1 p.m. Saturday. Before the match, the new outdoor tennis courts will be named and dedicated in a special ceremony beginning at 11 a.m.
