Hillsdale Falls in Close Match at LSSU

The Hillsdale College men's tennis team fell just short of its first GLIAC win of the season Saturday, dropping a 5-4 decision to Lake Superior State University in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

The Chargers won three singles matches but went 1-2 in doubles against the Lakers.

Freshman Justin Hyman was a double winner on the day, rallying for a 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles. He teamed up with sophomore Dugan Delp for an 8-2 rout at No. 1 doubles.

Gianpiero Placidi also won a hard-fought three-set match at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. Freshman Zach Rabitoy was a straight-sets winner at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-3.
