Tennis Team Stays Hot, Tops Michigan Tech

The roll keeps going for the Hillsdale College men's tennis team.

The Chargers blasted past Michigan Tech 8-1 in a GLIAC matchup Saturday morning at the Margot V. Biermann Athletic Center. Hillsdale, winners of five straight, is now 8-6 on the season.

All three doubles flight matches went to Hillsdale. The closest match happened at No. 3, when Julien Clouette and Milan Mirkovic teamed up for an 8-6 win. John Ciraci and Dugan Delp were 8-2 winners at No. 2 doubles, while Justin Hyman and Charlie Adams picked up an 8-3 win at the No. 1 flight.

The Chargers swept the bottom five singles flights, led by a shutout pitched by Adams at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Mirkovic stepped up impressively at No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Delp was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 4, while Ciraci nearly pitched a shutout himself, winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. Clouette closed out the win with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
