The first road match of the indoor season did not go Hillsdale College's way Saturday night.
The Charger men's tennis team fell to 2-1 on the season with a slim 5-4 loss to Northwood University in Midland.
Hillsdale played well in the doubles flights, taking two of three matches. Justin Hyman and Charlie Adams won an 8-4 decision at No. 1 doubles, while Dugan Delp and John Ciraci teamed up for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
He Timberwolves won the three lowest singles flights and was victorious at No. 1 singles to win the match. Adams was a 6-1, 7-5 winner at No. 2 singles, and Hyman was strong in a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.
