Justin Hyman Named G-MAC Player of the Week

Three different members of the Hillsdale College men's tennis team have been named Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week already this season.

Justin Hyman is the latest.

The junior from Oakland Township, Michigan earned his first conference weekly award Wednesday afternoon after posting a 4-2 record during the Chargers' difficult week in Florida.

One of Hyman's four wins came in doubles competition against 7th-ranked St. Leo University. He also won in both singles and doubles flights in a key 5-4 win over Southern Indiana to conclude the trip, a big regional win for the Chargers. He won 6-4, 6-0 in singles and 8-4 with Charlie Adams in doubles.

Hyman has a 6-3 record in doubles this season.

Previous G-MAC Players of the Week from Hillsdale include Adams and Dugan Delp. The Chargers have been recipients of four different player of the week awards this season, and Hyman's award is the 33rd a Charger athletes has picked up this school year. Hyman's sister Halle is also a previous winner of this award this season.
