Lakers Beat Charger Men in Tennis 6-3

In its final home match before Spring Break, the Hillsdale College men's tennis team lost a 6-3 decision to Grand Valley State University in a non-conference contest at the Margot V. Biermann Center Friday afternoon.

Hillsdale is 3-4 on the season and will head to Florida next week for a series of outdoor matches against some tough competition from the south.

The Chargers performed well in the singles flight, winning three of six total matches. Junior Justin Hyman was a defeault winner (3-0) in his match at No. 3 singles. Senior Dugan Delp rallied to post a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles while freshman Gabe Katz won in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6.
