Men's Tennis Team Tops Cedarville 8-1

The Charger men's tennis team notched its fifth straight win overall, and fourth in a row in conference play with an 8-1 victory over Cedarville University Saturday afternoon in Ohio. Hillsdale now stands at 9-6 on the season and 5-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

The Chargers swept all six singles matches, starting with a 6-0, 6-1 rout turned in by Milan Mirkovic at No. 1 singles. Charlie Adams (pictured) earned a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles, while Dugan Delp stepped up at No. 3 singles with a 6-4, 6-1 win.

John Ciraci earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles. Sophomore Michael Szabo was a 6-3, 6-2 winner in the No. 5 singles flight, while freshman Gabe Katz won a 6-0, 6-3 match at No. 6 singles.

Adams and Justin Hyman, ranked 34th in doubles in NCAA Division II, picked up an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles for Hillsdale, while Mirkovic and Julien Clouette turned an 8-0 shutout at No. 3 doubles.
