Hillsdale Stays Unbeaten in Men's Tennis With Win Over Purdue-Northwest

The Hillsdale College men's tennis team recorded another regional win at home Saturday afternoon, defeating Purdue-Northwest - now a member of the GLIAC - 5-2 at the Margot V. Biermann Center. The Chargers also stayed unbeaten on the season at 4-0 thanks to the victory.

The win was also significant for Charger coach Keith Turner, who recorded his 100th career coaching victory with this decision.

The Chargers got a leg up on the Pride by capturing two doubles wins, earning the one avaialble doubles point. Charlie Adams and Justin Hyman recorded a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles. The point was clinched thanks to a hard-fought 7-5 win by the No. 3 doubles combo of Julien Clouette and Brian Hackman.

Adams also stayed undefeated as a singles player this year with a 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 1 flight.

Hillsdale earned singles wins at each of the last three singles flights, starting with a 6-2, 6-2 win by John Ciraci at No. 4 singles. Clouette won by an identical 6-2, 6-2 score at No. 5 singles. Gabe Katz finished off the win with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles.
