Men's Tennis Knocks Off Walsh 4-1

The Charger men's tennis team bounced back nicely from a rare loss earlier in the week, defeating Walsh University 4-1 in North Canton, Ohio Sunday night. 

The win makes the team, ranked 49th in the nation and ninth in the Midwest Region, 11-5 overall and 2-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The match was ended once the Chargers mathematically clinched the victory. 

Hillsdale earned the doubles point thanks to wins by Justin Hyman and Charlie Adams at No. 1 6-1, and by Gabe Katz and John Criaci, 6-3, at No. 3.

Freshman Brian Hackman won a 7-5, 6-2 decision at No. 5 singles. Michael Szabo earned a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 4 singles, while Hyman won for the second time, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 2 singles.
