With the G-MAC Indoor Championships right around the corner, the Hillsdale College men's track and field team hosted a successful Tune-Up meet on Friday afternoon.
The Chargers won 10 events and put up solid times in the final meet before the indoor championship season begins next weekend.
The Chargers dominated in the field events, led by
Ben Haas, who won both the weight throw (21.52 meters) and the shot put (17.38 meters) with NCAA DII provisional qualifying marks, though neither were an improvement on his season best in either event. Freshman
John Heyden took third in the shot put with a throw of 13.74m as well.
Cass Dobrowolski aslo won the high jump for the Chargers with a provisional mark that didn't exceed his best mark on the year, clearing 2.05 meters, and
Zealand Tarrant took runner-up in the event with a personal best clearance of 1.70 meters.
Christian Hinrichs won the long jump for the Chargers with a mark of 6.09 meters, and took second in the triple jump with a personal best mark of 13.11 meters behind teammate
