Just 24 hours after a breakthrough National Championship in the weight throw, Ben Haas of the Hillsdale College men's track and field team was back in action on the final day of the 2025 NCAA DII Indoor Championships.

Competing in the shot put, the four-time All-American was unable to capture the same magic as Friday, finishing 16th overall with a throw of 16.74 meters in his first national meet appearance in the event.

The finish caps a legacy-building weekend for Haas, who won Hillsdale's first men's indoor championship since 2010 with a throw of 22.89 meters in the weight throw. He'll carry that momentum into the outdoor season in the spring, as the junior was an All-American in the hammer throw last year and should be a contender for the title in that event in May, and also a factor in the outdoor shot put as well after reaching the national meet for the first time in the event this winter.

The Chargers' outdoor track and field season kicks off next weekend with a small group headed to Miami of Ohio for a meet, with the Texas Relays in Austin to follow the next weekend.
