The Hillsdale College women's tennis team won its third straight match to open the 2026 spring season on Saturday, taking down Goshen 5-2 at home.
Hillsdale got off to a great start by sweeping all three matches to win the doubles point. Hillsdale's No. 1 pairing of
Ane Dannhauser and
Megan Hackman and the Chargers' No. 3 pairing of
Dimitra Papastavrou and
Julia Zlateva each took 6-2 victories, while Hillsdale's No. 2 doubles team of
Briana Rees and
Isabella Spinazze saw off a tougher test with a 6-4 win to complete the sweep.
In singles play, the top of Hillsdale's lineup came through with dominant victories. Dannhauser rolled past Goshen's Uliana Dotsenko 6-1, 6-2 to win at no. 1 singles, while Rees made quick work of Goshen's Blanka Bodo, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
Zlateva clinched the match for the Chargers with a strong showing at No. 5 singles, blowing past the Maples' Sarah Nino 6-0, 6-2.
