2026 G-MAC Softball Awards
The Hillsdale College softball team put together a record-setting offense in 2026, and several of the pieces of the engine that drove that performance were well-rewarded when All-G-MAC teams were announced on Thursday.
Six Chargers made the All-G-MAC teams -- three first-team honorees and three second-team honorees -- in Hillsdale's best All-Conference showing since 2021.
Hillsdale had one repeat honoree in catcher
Olivia Liguori, who captured first team honors after being named to the second team this past year. Liguori was an elite offensive catcher, batting .375 in conference play with five doubles, two triples, five home runs and 18 RBIs, with a .982 fielding percentage for her position. With two All-G-MAC honors in her first two seasons, Liguori has a shot to enter rare air as a four-time All-Conference honoree if she can continue her level of play over the next two seasons.
Second baseman
Taylor Lewis also received first-team All-G-MAC honors, the first All-Conference honors of her career. A senior and four-year starter at second base, Lewis had an amazing offensive season as the Chargers' number two hitter in the order, hitting .423 in conference play with a stellar 1.236 OPS, 10 doubles, a triple, four home runs and 22 RBIs as one of the top batters in the conference. She also was 8 of of 9 on stolen bases as part of a team that led the league by a large margin in that stat.
Hillsdale's third first team honoree was sophomore
Ronnie Craft, who had a breakout season earning an every-day starting spot and moving into the leadoff spot for the Chargers. Alternating between designated player and right field, Craft was nearly impossible to get out, batting a G-MAC best .487 in conference play with a 1.082 OPS, six doubles, 14 RBIs and 28 runs scored. One of the greatest baserunners in Hillsdale College history, Craft averaged more than one stolen base a contest in conference play with 25 swipes in 23 games, going a perfect 25 of 25 against G-MAC foes.
The Chargers' three second team honorees included junior shortstop
Sydney Davis, who hit .388 with seven doubles and 25 RBIs in an impressive performance offensively at a premium spot in the lineup and a premium position for the Chargers. She was joined on the second team by fellow junior
Medleigh Danchak, who earned a starting job for the first time in 2026 at first base and came through in a big way in conference play, batting .383 with two doubles, a triple, three home runs and 10 RBIs. Also making the second team for the Chargers was sophomore
Nathalie Hagle, a newcomer to Hillsdale's roster who excelled in her first season while splitting time between right field and catcher. Hagle batted .300 in G-MAC play with five doubles, six home runs and a team-leading 27 RBIs in a key performance offensively for the 29-18 Chargers in the regular season.
Hillsdale remains in the G-MAC Tournament and will play an elimination game this morning against Cedarville at 11 a.m. at Akron Firestone Stadium, looking to keep their season going and reach the 30 win mark for a record sixth-straight campaign.Â
