October 12, 2012 - The Hillsdale College women's tennis team got off to a good start to its three-match Ohio road trip Friday afternoon.

The top flights eased through the competition as the Chargers defeated the Walsh University Cavaliers 6-3 in Canton, Ohio. Hillsdale has now won five in a row and seven out of eight overall.

Senior Brittany Parks cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, and joined sophomore Morgan Delp on the winning side of an 8-4 decision at No. 1 doubles.

Delp, the reigning GLIAC Player of the Week, kept up her winning ways with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles. Younger sister Sydney Delp won by the reverse score of Morgan, and joined Lindsay Peirce as the victorious team at No. 2 doubles, 8-4.

Perice won her match at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
