Cooler weather descended upon Hillsdale Wednesday afternoon, but there was nothing cold about the Hillsdale College tennis team.
The Chargers will roll into postseason play off a 6-3 win over the University of Findlay in a match contested inside the Margot V. Biermann Center. Hillsdale is now 8-6 on the season and sits in sixth place in the conference.
Junior Morgan Delp (pictured) picked up wins in both singles and doubles, winning a lengthy second set, 6-2, 7-6 (3) at No. 1 singles. Earlier, she teamed up with sister Sydney Delp for an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles.
Sophomore Lindsay Peirce has played some of her best tennis in the last couple weeks, and also got two wins Wednesday. She rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, and was an 8-5 winner at No. 2 doubles with another double-winner on the day, freshman Jada Bissett.
Bissett was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at No. 5 singles, and the No. 3 doubles team of Rachel Blaauw and Dana Grace Buck cruised to an 8-3 victory.
