Few teams have the reputation for excellence in GLIAC women's tennis like Northwood University. Although the Timberwolves won an 8-1 decision over Hillsdale College on a sunny Friday afternoon, the Chargers sure made them sweat for it.

Three singles matches went to a third set, and the top two doubles matches were decided by one of the slimmest margins possible, a 9-8 score.

Senior Morgan Delp rebounded from a 6-0 loss in the first set to win set two 7-5 before losing set three 10-7.

Morgan and her sister Sydney Delp lost a 9-8 decision at No. 1 doubles. The No. 2 doubles team of Dana Grace Buck and Lindsay Peirce, one of the best in their flight in the conference, lost for just the second time this season, also by a 9-8 score.

Hillsdale (3-7) plays its final home match of the 2014 fall season at noon Sunday against Saginaw Valley State University.
