The Charger women's tennis team lost a closely fought match with Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio Friday afternoon.

The Panthers won five singles flights en route to a 6-3 win over Hillsdale.

Playing at No. 1 singles, junior Sydney Delp easily won her match 6-1, 6-4, but was the only winner among the Charger singles players. Four of the other five matches had to be decided in a third set, with two of Hillsdale's losses coming by the slim 6-4 margin.

Sydney Delp teamed up with her sister Morgan for a successful debut at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-4. Sophomore Dana Grace Buck and junior Lindsay Peirce outlasted the Panthers in an exciting 9-7 victory at No. 2 doubles.
