The Charger women's tennis team saw its winning streak come to an end at the hands of perennial GLIAC power Northwood University Saturday in Midland.

The Timberwolves notched a 7-2 win over the Chargers, dropping Hillsdale to 5-4 on the season. The Chargers battle Saginaw Valley State Sunday.

Hillsdale won a pair of matches in the singles flights. Freshman Halle Hyman, the reigning GLIAC Player of the Week, kept up her winning ways with a 6-3, 7-6 win over Northwood's Carol Arnez-Mercado.

At No. 6 singles, freshman Madeline Bissett came back from a set down to post a 6-7, 6-1, 10-7 victory to give Hillsdale its other win on the day.
