Box Score

The Charger women's tennis team wrapped up a long road trip on a winning note Sunday afternoon.

Hillsdale hasn't played at home since the first part of September, but that hasn't deterred the team from enjoying  successful season. That season got a little better thanks to a 6-3 victory over the host Saginaw Valley State University Cardinals. The Chargers are now 6-4 on the season and return  home to host Northwest Ohio at its new courts Thursday afternoon.

Freshman Halle Hyman had a perfect day on the courts, winning at both No. 1 singles (6-3, 6-7, 9-1) and at No. 1 doubles with Lindsay Peirce (8-4). Peirce won her singles match as well, at No. 4 singles in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4.

Senior Sydney Delp was a winner at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-0 while freshman Madeline Bissett won at singles for the second day in a row, 7-5, 6-0.
