Broncos Blank Chargers in Spring Opener

The Hillsdale College women's tennis team opened the spring portion of its schedule Sunday afternoon in Kalamazoo.

The Chargers lost to Division I foe Western Michigan University 7-0.

All of the matches were completed in straight sets.

Lindsay Peirce played the closest set of the match, losing 6-4 in the first set of her loss. Junior Sydney Delp lost 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while Rachel Blaauw lost her first set 6-3.

Hillsdale is now off for 27 days before resuming a busy slate of spring matches between March 28-April 18.
