Women's Tennis Team Performs Well at Northwestern Ohio Event

The Charger women's tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule by competing at the Northwestern Ohio Invitational over the weekend.

Friday featured doubles matches, with Hillsdale's duo of Katie Bell and Corinne Prost, and Kamryn Matthews and Madeline Bissett each posted wins over Walsh University, by scores of 6-0 and 6-3. In the final round of play on the first day, Halle Hyman teamed up with freshman Hannah Cimpeanu to win at No. 2 doubles over Findlay, while the two aforementioned doubles teams also defeated the Oilers.

Singles play was featured on Saturday, and Bell once again rose to the occasion. She helped Hillsdale to an 11-1 record as a team on the day by winning all three of her matches. Cimpeanu, Prost, Bissett and Casey Kibler all won their first matches in the singles flights. The Chargers finished the day by going 6-0 against the host Racers, winning every singles flight.
