Box Score
The Charger women's tennis team lost an oh-so-close 5-4 non-league decision to the University of Northwestern Ohio Saturday afternoon in Toledo. The loss drops Hillsdale to 1-2 on the season.
Hillsdale opened play winning two doubles matches, with the duo of Kamryn Matthews and Madeline Bissett winning in decisive fashion. Matthews and Bissett won 8-3 in the most one-sided matchup in what was otherwise a very competitive match up and down the lineup.
Halle Hyman teamed up with Hannah Cimpeanu for a dramatic 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles.
Cimpeanu, a freshman, performed very well in singles action, winning her match in the No. 2 flight by a score of 6-4, 6-2.
Bissett picked up her second win of the day at No. 6 singles, winning in three sets, 6-1, 5-7, 6-3.
