Hillsdale Rolls to Another 9-0 Victory

The Charger women's tennis team wrapped up a perfect weekend with its sixth win in a row, and second straight by a 9-0 score on a windy Saturday afternoon in Ohio.

Hillsdale, ranked 47th in NCAA Division II, blanked Cedarville University at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex in Ohio. The Chargers are now 8-4 overall and 3-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

The No. 1 doubles team of Katie Bell and Corinne Prost set the tone with an 8-0 win to start the match. Halle Hyman and Hannah Cimpeanu were 8-2 winners at No. 2 doubles, and Kamryn Matthews and Madeline Bissett won 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.

Hyman won her second straight match at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1, polishing off a perfect weekend. Cimpeanu, playing at No. 2 singles, didn't drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win.

Bell was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 3 singles. Prost made short work of her opponent at No. 4 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1. Matthews and Bissett each won 6-0, 6-0 matches at No. 5 and 6 singles, respectively.
