Women's Tennis Ends Florida Trip With 6-3 Win

A week-long trip through the state of Florida ended on a very positive note for the Hillsdale College women's tennis team.

The Chargers picked up a 6-3 victory over host Broward College Wednesday afternoon. The team used its depth well, winning all three doubles matches and the Nos. 5 and 6 singles flights.

Junior Madeline Bissett finished up one of the best weeks of play in her career with a 6-4, 6-2 win at Nol. 5 singles, then teamed up with sophomore Kamryn Matthews on an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.

Junior Corinne Prost was another double winner, earning a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles and an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles along with sophomore Katie Bell.

Freshman Hannah Cimpeanu and junior Halle Hyman won the closest match of the day, 9-7 at No. 2 doubles. Junior Julia Formentin looked strong in a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles for Hillsdale.
