The Charger women's tennis team picked up a regional win and stayed perfect in the 2020 season Saturday night.

Hillsdale earned a 6-1 win over Davenport University in Grand Rapids, moving to 3-0.

The night started with three doubles wins, giving Hillsdale that crucial point. Hannah Cimpeanu and Sarah Hackman had to work a little overtime in a 7-6 win that required a tiebreaker. The combos of Katie Bell and Ellie Chawner and Canela Luna and Kamryn Matthews each picked up 6-4 wins.

In singles action, Sophia Spinazze pitched a shutout in a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles. Luna nearly matched that score at No. 5, winning 6-1, 6-0. Matthews was victorious at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-3.

Bell took care of business at No. 3 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win. Hackman came back from a set 1 loss to post a 2-6, 6-2, 10-5 win at No. 2 singles.
