Once again, the Hillsdale College baseball team has put up an impressive showing in the classroom, concluding the 2025-26 school year with academic honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Hillsdale was one of over 800 college and high school baseball programs from across the country to receive the 2026 ABCA Team Excellence award on Wednesday. This award recognizes ABCA member teams from all levels of high school and collegiate baseball that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2024-25 academic year.

The Chargers received the award thanks to the hard work of a young squad that stayed disciplined in the classroom while successfully navigating a tough schedule in 2026, earning a spot in the G-MAC Tournament and reaching the final of their pool in that tournament competition.

Hillsdale will look to build off a successful campaign with many talented players back for the 2027 season.
