The Hillsdale College men's basketball team will play 16 home contests, including four standalone contests and 12 doubleheaders with the women's team. The Chargers will play their home opener on Monday, Nov. 9 against University of Michigan-Dearborn to kick off the 2026-27 season, one of two opening-week home games along with a Friday, Nov. 13 matchup against another Michigan foe, Grand Valley State University.
The Charger men are looking to build off a G-MAC Tournament appearance and improve their standing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference with three starters returning from the 2025-26 squad, headlined by veteran post players
Caleb Glaser and
Connor Stonebraker, who finished second and third, respectively, on the team in scoring last season. You can find the full Chargers men's schedule
here.
Hillsdale's women's team, meanwhile, kick off the season with a exhibition contest at home against Schoolcraft College on Nov. 4 and will also play 16 home contests, four single contests and 12 doubleheaders with the men. The Chargers' first home contest against a NCAA opponent is on Nov. 18, as Hillsdale hosts a tough in-state foe in Wayne State, the first of five straight home contests in November and early December.
The Chargers have posted four straight winning seasons, three of them under current head coach Brianna Brennan, and are gunning for a fifth straight winning campaign for just the third time in program history and to contend for a G-MAC title after placing fifth last season. Hillsdale will have a strong post presence with returning All-G-MAC center
Savannah Smith and veteran
Ellie Bruce back from last year's team, as well as talented wing
Sarah Aleknavicius. You can find the full Chargers women's schedule
