2025-26 NABC Honors Court

Thanks to perhaps the greatest academic performance in program history, the Hillsdale College men's basketball team was well-represented in NABC Academic awards for the 2025-26 season.

The NABC announced its Team Academic Awards and Honors Court on Wednesday afternoon, with Hillsdale earning Team Academic Honors for the eighth straight campaign, while also placing an impressive nine players on the Honors Court.

In order to earn the Team Academic Award from the NABC, a team's combined GPA must be 3.0 or greater, a mark the Chargers easily exceeded by posting a program record 3.77 GPA for 2025-26. To receive a spot on the Honors Court, players must be a junior or senior and possess a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA.

Among Hillsdale's nine Honors Court honorees, graduated senior Cole McWhinnie led the way by receiving the honor for a third-straight season. Four other Chargers -- Garrett Bolte, Ashton Janowski, Jacob Meyer and CJ Yarian, all earned a spot on the Honors Court for the second time in their careers, while Chargers Caleb Glaser, Connor Stonebraker, Michael App and Mikey McCollum all received the distinction for the first time.

Hillsdale was one of seven G-MAC programs to earn the 2026 Team Academic Award, along with Ashland, Cedarville, Findlay, Kentucky Wesleyan, Malone, and Thomas More. Of those seven programs, only Hillsdale and Findlay have won the award five or more years in a row.
