Golf Team Finishes 8th at G-MAC Fall Preview in Kentucky

The 2019-20 Hillsdale College men's golf team got its fall season started Monday and Tuesday in Kentucky, facing a slate of familiar foes at the G-MAC Fall Preview.

The Chargers finished eighth out of 10 competing teams, finishing with a total score of 607 for the event, held at The Pearl Club in Owensboro, Kentucky and hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan College.

The University of Findlay took first with a team score of 559, winning the title by an impressive 14 strokes over second-place Trevecca Nazarene.

Leading the way for Hillsdale was Ryan Zetwick, who finished first on the team and 11th overall with a score of 74-71--145 across his two rounds. Josh Davenport carded a pair of 74s and was second on the team with a 148. 

Gerry Jones Jr. and Luke Girodat each finished with a 157, Jones's score coming in his collegiate debut with the Chargers. Jack Sullivan placed fifth on the team with a two-round score of 172.
