The Hillsdale College shotgun team has built a reputation for excellence over the last decade, with a variety of former and current Chargers athletes representing USA Shooting in international events.
For its 2026-27 signing class, the Chargers and coach
Jordan Hintz will add two competitors who already have significant honors to their name to its decorated squad, further bolstering Hillsdale's depth as the Chargers seek to contend for national titles next season.
Kinsey Duzan joins the team from Sunbury, Ohio, just outside of Columbus, and Northridge High School. Duzan comes to Hillsdale with a decorated record in international and doubles trap, as well as sporting clays. She won the gold medal at the 2025 USA Shooting U18 selection match in West Palm Beach, Florida, earning a spot on Team USA for the ISSF Junior World Cup in New Delhi, India, and also will represent team USA at the 2026 ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany later this summer. Duzan also competed on the SCTP International Team in 2025, and was an American Trapshooting Association All-American as well as an All-Ohio honoree in 2024. She has a long list of medal finishes, including, recently, a silver medal at the 2025 USA Shooting Shotgun National Championship and a Bronze Medal at the U18 USA Shooting Junior Olympic Championship, both of which were contested at the John A. Halter Shooting Sports Center in Hillsdale. A strong student who graduated with honors this past spring, Duzan should be an instant-impact addition to Hillsdale's squad this fall.Â
Cameron Roberts, meanwhile, is one of the top prep shooters in the state of Michigan, hailing from Mattawan, just an hour west of Hillsdale, and Mattawan High School. Specializing in international skeet, Roberts earned significant experience as a member of the 2025 SCTP International team, and was a part of team championships in International Skeet in 2024 and 2025. He also took the first place at the 2023 Michigan Junior Olympics International Skeet competition, among several other top finishes in competition. An excellent student, Roberts was a member of the National Technical Honors Society in high school and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mattawan High School. He also spent a year prior to enrolling at Hillsdale at Western Michigan University, where he was on the dean's list with a perfect 4.0 GPA both semesters, and was a member of WMU's Lee Honors College. Roberts will help reinforce a strong core in skeet for Hillsdale for the upcoming season.
The Hillsdale College shotgun team will open the 2026-27 season on August 22, competing in the fourth leg of the Lieske Series at Bald Mountain Gun Club in Lake Orion, before heading to the USA Shooting Fall Selection Matches on Aug. 26. The Chargers will compete at home for the first time on Sept. 4-6 at the annual Chargers Classic NCSA at the John A. Halter Shooting Sports Center.
