From May 16 through 27, members of the Chargers Shotgun Team competed in the USA Shooting National Shotgun Championships at Hillsdale College's own Halter Shooting Sports Education Center. The event consisted of 250 targets of International Trap or Skeet and the scores from this match, plus the most recent USA Shooting Selections, decided who is chosen to represent the United States in ISSF world-level competitions this Fall.

In Skeet,
Madeline Corbin broke 230/250 targets, earning her a spot in both the Junior and Open Women's finals. She performed well enough in the junior final to take the bronze medal and shot exceptionally in the open final and won silver. She was selected to both the Open and Junior Women's National Teams.
Zach Hinze's 218/250 earned him a spot on the Junior Men's National Team.
Kyle Fleck and
Davis Hay each broke 231 targets, finishing 1
st and 2
nd in the collegiate category respectively with Corbin getting 3
rd.

Hillsdale competitors earned a variety of accolades in International Trap.
Marin McKinney's exceptional shooting earned her a spot in both the Junior and Open Women's Final after which she took silver in Open.
Taylor Dale also made both finals and finished with the gold medal for Junior Women.
Roman Barrett took bronze in the Junior Men's final. Both McKinney and Dale plus
Ava Downs and incoming freshman Kinsey Duzan were selected to the Junior Women's National Team. Downs and McKinney were also chosen to be on the Open Women's Development Team while Dale again earned a spot on the Open Women's National Team.

For Olympic-style competition, members of the Chargers Shotgun Team next look forward to the Junior Olympics, held in June in Hillsdale, then SCTP Nationals in July at in Marengo, OH.
